How to book accommodation
Complete and send us the booking form
Please complete our London booking form and submit it, or alternatively you can print out the form, fill in your details and then fax it to us on +44 (0)20 7386 7575. Please state clearly what you require on the booking form to avoid disappointment as we are only able to respond to the information you have entered on your completed form. All booking and accommodation is offered on the terms set out below and if you accept our offer of accommodation you agree to be bound by our Terms and Conditions.
We will look for a suitable host and send you an offer
When we receive your completed booking form, on the basis of your details we will try to locate and select suitable accommodation which will as far as possible correspond to your stated requirements. Accommodation is carefully selected for standard and quality. (Host & Guest Service is a founder member of the BBHA which has set minimum standards for homestay accommodation approved by Tourist Boards.)
We will then send you an offer giving the location and the cost of one of our host families available to accommodate your request.
We aim to match your requirements within 24 hours
We do not guarantee how quickly we will be able to respond to your booking request - this will depend on your stated requirements and the time of year you are requesting the accommodation. However, we try to answer all requests within 24 hours.
To help you let us know the kind of accommodation you are looking for we have now included pages of Sample Homes in London and also spaces in the booking forms for entering the Host IDs of the examples you like.
We can cater for families with children
We are able to find accommodation for children and babies with their parents. Please tell us the ages of any children in your party.
We send confirmation details on acceptance of the offer
We will send you a confirmation once you have accepted our offer. The confirmation will provide you with the following details:-
Our offers are valid for three days
You must respond to our offer within three days otherwise, as the accommodation may not be still available, the offer will automatically lapse.
Payment is in advance of your arrival
All payments must be made to Host & Guest Service Limited before your arrival in accordance with the offer we send you.
Methods of payment
Payments can be made by Credit Card (Visa or Mastercard but NOT American Express or Diners Club), Bank Transfer or by Post Office Cheque. All payments must be in pounds sterling and all bank charges relating to the transfer of funds to our account must be paid by you. Please note that as well as your accommodation costs we charge a booking fee which is charged on the basis of a sliding scale according to the length of your stay. The booking fee will be included in the amount stated on our offer.
Tell us your time of arrival
When you respond to our offer, you must inform us of your estimated time of arrival at the address specified so that we can inform your host family.

If, however you do have any queries, problems or misunderstandings you must contact us at Host & Guest Service Limited, 103 Dawes Road, London SW6 7DU, telephone 020 7385 9922/3434 during your stay to enable us to respond to you. We are unable to respond to any problems or queries you may have after you have left the host family.
